Terms of Use
By using Video to Notes, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The Service
Video to Notes is a tool that takes a video you upload, extracts and transcribes its audio in your browser, and uses AI to generate notes such as a summary, key points, and a timeline. A companion Chrome extension handles YouTube videos and longer content. The service is provided as a convenience and on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Use and Limits
The service may apply per-device daily usage limits to keep it available for everyone. We may change, limit, or discontinue features at any time.
Acceptable Use
- do not use the service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights
- do not attempt to overload, disrupt, scrape at scale, or circumvent usage limits or security controls
- only upload videos or audio you have the right to process
- respect the rights of content owners and the terms of the platforms the content comes from
Third-Party Content and Services
Notes are generated using Google Gemini. Your use of that underlying service is subject to its own terms. Video to Notes is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, and you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the content you upload.
AI Output Disclaimer
AI-generated notes can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Do not rely on the output for any important, legal, medical, financial, or safety-related decision without independently verifying it against the source video.
Intellectual Property
Video to Notes does not claim ownership of the videos you upload or the transcripts and notes generated from them. Generated notes are provided for your own use; you are responsible for how you use them and for any rights in the underlying content.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, without errors, or that transcripts or notes will be accurate or available for any given video.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Video to Notes and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or inability to use the service or its output.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these terms as the product or applicable law changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
