What “extra YouTube notes” means

Everyone gets 10 YouTube notes in total, without a refill. Basic adds 100 and Plus 300 a month; the included notes are used first.

Try it without a plan

Try transcription and AI notes without signing up. Paid plans include higher-quality transcripts and notes, 50+ languages, result emails so you can close the page after upload, no rate limits, Server files up to 8 GB and selections up to 2 hours. In Browser mode, the default, your original video stays in your browser and only selected audio is uploaded; Server mode on paid plans uploads the video and deletes it after extraction.

Server upload on the website or in the Chrome extension

On the website or in the Chrome extension, Basic and Plus can upload a video file to our server and extract its audio there, instead of in your browser. It is off unless you choose it: by default the audio is extracted in your browser and your video stays on your device. An uploaded video is used only to extract its audio, in the EU (AWS, Ireland), and is deleted right afterwards, within 24 hours at the latest.

Audio: MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, FLAC, OGG, OGA, OPUS, WMA, AMR, AIFF, AIF, CAF, AC3

Works if the audio track can be decoded; copy-protected files can't be read.

How plan hours work

Basic includes 20 hours of transcription and 100 YouTube notes a month; Plus includes 50 hours and 300 notes a month. Paid allowances renew monthly on the subscription anniversary, or the last day of a shorter month, for monthly and yearly plans alike. Unused paid allowances do not carry over. One account shares its plan across the website and Chrome extension.

Renewal and cancellation

Plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Cancel from your account on this website or in the Chrome extension. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. After its first year, a yearly plan can be cancelled at any time: it then ends at the end of the current month, and the unused full months are refunded. The details are in the terms.

Prices and tax

Prices are in US dollars and are final prices: they include VAT or sales tax where it applies. Our payment provider and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, collects that tax, and the checkout shows the same price before you pay.
