What is the difference between video to text and video to notes?
Video to text gives you the raw transcript — the spoken words written out, ready to copy or download. Video to notes goes further and writes a summary, key points, and a timeline from the same video. If you want more than the plain text, turn the video into notes instead.
Which video formats can I transcribe?
Common video and audio files work — most people transcribe MP4 to text, and MOV, WebM, MKV, and audio files like MP3 and M4A work too. For a long recording, transcribe one range at a time. YouTube links work too, if the video has captions.
Can I get the text in a language other than the one spoken?
The transcript comes back in the language that was actually spoken — it is a record of the recording, so it stays faithful to it. What you can change is the notes: set the notes language and the summary and key points are written in your language instead.
What can I do with the transcript?
The full transcript appears on the page. Use the Copy button to copy all of it to your clipboard, or Download .txt to save it as a plain-text file named after your video. From there you can paste it into a document, search it, or edit it however you like.
